Fountain Hills Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot at the Fry’s store shopping center on Wednesday morning, Aug. 8.

The fire started in the engine compartment of a late model Acura SUV. Damage was confined mostly to the engine compartment.

Due to the vehicle’s proximity to the building and a walkway overhang, the fire was called as a full assignment for Fountain Hills and one engine with Scottsdale Fire Department responded.
