This February arts and crafts fair and the past November fair has just gone to prove that the Chamber fair organizers are biased towards certain food vendors.
Our charitable organization has been in Fountain Hills since 1986 and has participated in the fair since. With some of the latest changes we have been forced off the main Avenue of the Fountains to a side street with some other food vendors.
We were told that all food vendors were going to rotate to be fair to everyone; however, this is not the case. For the past two fairs, some vendors are in the same locations while others are forced to the side streets. Is this what they call fair and equitable?

I would point out one other topic that needs to be addressed -- specific vendors blocking the street caused by having their concessions further out in the street than everyone else. There were at least two at this past fair and they were both on the corner (Verde River and Avenue of Fountains).
I saw one vehicle lose a hubcap due to hitting one of those vendor’s concessions. I don’t know how an emergency vehicle would get through when even golf carts were not getting through. Fair patrons were inconvenienced getting through to other vendors when lines formed at those particular vendors.
These issues were so obvious, yet no one did anything to enforce the rules. Someone in this fair organization committee please wake up and do your job before you ruin one of the last remaining beautiful events in this wonderful town.
