Two men who live in the Verde Communities were taken to the hospital Monday afternoon, Oct. 17, following a vehicle accident on Forest Road at Avenida Del Ray.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office one driver was making a left turn from Bolero Bend onto southbound Forest Road when it collided with the second vehicle traveling south. A witness told deputies the vehicle making the turn did stop before pulling into traffic.
The driver of the vehicle traveling through on Forest Road was unresponsive immediately after the accident but sustained no apparent injury from the collision. Fire District paramedics determined he should be sent by air ambulance to a Scottsdale trauma center.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office one driver was making a left turn from Bolero Bend onto southbound Forest Road when it collided with the second vehicle traveling south. A witness told deputies the vehicle making the turn did stop before pulling into traffic.

The elderly man driving the vehicle making the turn from Bolero Bend received apparently minor injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to the Scottsdale hospital.
The accident was investigated by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office traffic unit. The identities of the men were not immediately available.
