What a great weekend for the Great Fair. We could not have had better weather. Wow!

As a veteran and a post member, I want to thank all of you who came down to VFW Post 7507’s Beer Garden and bought brats, hot dogs, wine, beer, soft drinks, etc. Thanks also to all who bought Coyote or Diamondback tickets. Thanks also to all who bought Red Shirt Friday shirts or participated in the various raffles.

All profit from the beer garden goes to support veterans and veterans’ causes/charities. And a special thank you to all the businesses and individuals who donated items for the raffles.

Each year school students (with help from parents and teachers) participate in VFW educational and patriotic essay contests.

Tomorrow, VFW Post 7507 honors the participants in this year’s Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy contests and the Patriotic Teacher of the Year with an awards ceremony to be held at the FHUSD Learning Center at 5:30 p.m.

All Fountain Hills residents and their guests are invited to attend and to support these outstanding students and teachers. Please RSVP to 836-7917 or to debbieyin2002@yahoo.com today.
