When called to lead, provide vision. When called to serve, via an elected office, provide solutions. When you hold a public office, it is for all your constituents. The Pledge of Allegiance, alone, includes the words “liberty and justice for all.”

We have the separation of church and state in government. But if some in our council wants to go there, let’s go there. Remember these?

“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” 1 Corinthians 14:33. 

“To whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48.

“When I was hungry, you fed me. When I was thirsty you gave me something to drink, when I needed clothes, you clothed me…” Matthew 25:35-40

To incite division, and to use your elected office to attack certain groups in this town, is not what you were elected for. To spread prejudice is not what you were elected for. Anti-LGBTQ views of hate fans more hate. Fomenting hate is not leadership and devalues your oath of office. Let’s not enable this. It can put lives at risk.

This is a beautiful town with real governance and budget needs to resolve. Focus on that! What say you, Skillicorn and Toth?

It is time for you to govern and serve, not divide. Where is that budget analysis? Focus on that. Kalivianakis and Freidel, you have been quiet, but we are here to listen.
