Valley tourism experts see forward progress in the latest data that shows last year’s visitation numbers from out-of-state travelers.

The data —which was released last week — shows growth in five different metrics that include: tourism jobs, visitor spending, tax revenue, earnings and domestic overnight visitation, according to the Arizona Office of Tourism.

“The story is there is a steady increase across the board,” said Josh Coddington, a spokesman for the Arizona Office of Tourism.
