As everyone knows, this town does not function without its many volunteers. This afternoon is a perfect opportunity to learn more about many of the fine organizations in town you can join of volunteer for. If you have a little free time, please go on down to the Community Center between 2 and 4 p.m. and check out the club or other organizations you can join and participate with. I hope to see you there. I will be at the VFW Post 7507 booth.

If you can't make today's event or want more information about the River of Time Museum, the museum is having a “Volunteer Open House” on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. Go, enjoy coffee and refreshments and a tour of the recently renovated museum and decide what role you would like to play.

As a past commander of VFW Post 7507, I would like to thank Ken and the staff at The Hills’ Pizza and Desert for hosting a fundraiser for our post and serving great spaghetti. I also want to thank all who came in support our Post.
