It’s time once again to come together and make a meaningful impact in the community.

The 17th Annual Make a Difference Day in Fountain Hills takes place on Saturday, Oct. 18, and the town is calling on residents of all ages to lend a hand.

“This special day is dedicated to helping some of our most vulnerable neighbors through four hours of volunteer service on various interior and exterior home projects,” Town of Fountain Hills Volunteer Supervisor Kim Wickland said. “Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to community service, this is a chance to show that Fountain Hills is truly a small town with a big heart.”

Volunteer tasks may include raking and removing landscape debris, weed control and yard cleanup, minor home repairs (interior and exterior) and  building exterior wheelchair ramps.

Everyone is welcome to participate, from Girl Scouts to active seniors and everyone in between.

All willing participants are encouraged to sign up. Register to volunteer by Monday, Oct. 13, by visiting fountainhillsaz.gov/madd.

For more information, contact Kim Wickland, Town Volunteer Supervisor 480-816-5108, or kwickland@fountainhillsaz.gov.

“Let’s come together to serve our neighbors and prove once again that we can all Make a Difference,” Wickland said.
