Take notice of the Botanical Garden parking area along Fountain Hills Blvd. The grant money from Republic Services would make it possible to beautify this area by terracing the hillsides behind the parking lot, improving the appearance of the “front door” to the garden entrance. An added benefit is prevention of further erosion to that area.
The Fountain Hills Botanical Garden was founded by Jane Haynes in 1975 as a wildlife preserve and garden. It is now maintained by the Fountain Hills Botanical Garden Society. Let us all help to preserve her vision of this treasure we are so fortunate to have in our community.
There is one month remaining to vote your Republic Services points for the Botanical Garden. Go to www.republicgivesback.com. Should you encounter difficulty using this site call Sally at 877-323-7688.
In answer to the introductory question...vote your Republic Services points to the Botanical Garden to help create an attractive entrance to this attractive garden. Deadline for voting your points is Aug. 15. Thank you.
