Vote for garden

There are still quite a few residents who are unaware that Fountain Hills has a Botanical Garden. Located on Fountain Hills Blvd. just north of Kingstree, it’s an easy hiking/walking trail with informative plaques identifying various plants and trees.

As you stroll along the path you’ll begin to notice the noise of cars on the roadway fading and sounds of nature intensifying. There are various birds singing out to one another, quail feverishly scratching the dirt searching for food, lizards scurrying by looking for cover and even a bunny or two sitting on the side of the trail curiously observing you.

Sit for a while on one of the benches and take it all in. A moment of peace in an otherwise hectic day. We hope you enjoy your time here and come to visit us often.

The only distraction to this lovely place is the barren hill that greets visitors as they arrive in the parking lot. To remedy this we’re asking for your help. Please go to the Republic Services website at www.republicgivesback.com and vote your points for the garden.

This will help us to win a $10,000 grant to beautify the hill. We want to thank Republic Services for this opportunity and you for helping us with your votes to make the garden even more beautiful.
