The Greening of Downtown volunteer committee could sure use your help and it won’t cost you a dime. All you need to do is participate in the Republic Services Recycling Program and vote your recycling points online for “Greening of Downtown.” It’s very simple; just go to republicgivesback.com.
Republic Services, the town’s waste and recycling provider, has established a community grant program to fund selected community projects and you get to decide where the funds are invested. With enough votes for the “Greening of Downtown” program, Fountain Park could be $10,000 greener.
With the grant the committee will begin adding trees in the north area of Fountain Park to supplement some of the old olive trees that are showing serious signs of distress and also begin adding landscaping at strategic locations along the disc golf course to provide buffers for sidewalk users.

These greening additions will help sustain the integrity of our signature park.
