I felt it necessary to address a letter printed in the July 18 Times. Shortly after gaining my citizenship in 1983, I became a Republican Precinct Committeeman. I have been politically active for the past 35 years.
Usually I wait before endorsing a candidate until shortly before voting starts, but the result of this US Senatorial election is critically important and so I became involved early. McSally is the candidate that will beat the Ralph Nader Socialist pretending to be a moderate.

I, like many Republicans, was concerned with candidate Trump’s Conservative credentials during the 2016 primaries. However, I have been exceedingly happy with so many of the promises kept by President Trump. The State’s Republican House Delegation has been very supportive of the Trump agenda, but I need to correct a statement from last week’s letter: Congresswoman McSally’s support for the President’s agenda is at 97 percent, the highest of the Arizona delegation.
It is interesting that Mr. Dover uses the term “the real deal,” referring to another politician. That is the very term that President Trump coined for Martha McSally. The former USAF Colonel, who has 26 years of unblemished military service including being the first female combat pilot, has proved all her life to be a person of action. She has the distinction of being the 11th most effective Representative in the US House and that is after only three years in office. There is no reason to expect this energy to subside when elected to the Senate in November.
She will lead from the front, unlike her competitor in the primary who addressed her plans at an earlier meeting here in Fountain Hills that being new she “would have to lead from behind.” Vote McSally. Check out the real facts of McSally’s accomplishments at McSallyforSenate.com.
