I have served with Mike Scharnow on the Fountain Hills Coalition board of directors the past eight years. Mike is passionate about helping children and teenagers stay away from the damaging consequences of underage alcohol consumption and illegal drug use.

I am thrilled that Mike has chosen to serve our community by running for town council. Mike is “all about service.” He served as our editor of The Fountain Hills Times for 32 years, until changing careers two years ago.

Mike has lived in our community for 28 years and has served in many leadership positions including his church, Kiwanis, Sister Cities and numerous other organizations.

It has been a privilege to work closely with Mike the past decade. Mike is incredibly honest, has tremendous judgement, is very even tempered and a passionate team player.

Most importantly, he cares deeply about people and helping them make their lives better.

I believe that Mike, if elected, will serve as a wonderful town council member, representing all of our residents doing the best job he can to listen, learn, form an opinion and then vote on issues that most benefit our entire community.

I like Mike. And I hope you do, also, when you vote!
