It brings me great joy to have been asked to serve on the committee for Save Our Town. How proud I am to serve with such great volunteers who love this town, as I do, and desperately want to be a part of the solution and not the problem. I truly believe that almost all of us have moved here because we love it here.

Thus, it is important that we become excellent stewards of our town. One cannot convince me that any member of the community runs for elected office because they want to do harm to the town. Nor would you ever convince me that the hundreds of volunteers in this town do it because they have nothing better to do. They all do it because Fountain Hills is special to them.

Fred and I are proud to be able to vote “yes” for a primary property tax. Every year, more cuts are made, fewer infrastructures can be taken care of and the amenities that we so enjoy stand the chance of disappearing. Who is going to take care of our town if we, its residents, do not?

The Town is holding forums to keep you completely informed and answer your questions. Save Our Town will be totally available to you to explain why this vote is tremendously important. “Tax” is not a dirty word. Taxes bring you many wonderful things in your life. Don’t just hear the word tax and say no. Become truly informed and know why this is a critical election for our town.

I am grateful that I have the opportunity to help our town. Please remember why you moved here and join us in voting yes.
