The reason that Arizona legislatures are trying to significantly limit the powers of the voters, is because they are concerned they could implement legislation that would be very destructive to the state and change the status quo.
There are several possible legislative actions that the voters could enable, which would change current practices, be constructive and, supported by voters, eliminate taxpayers’ support for professional sports team owners; thereby making them responsible for their own business decisions.
Improve education received by public school students by increasing funding and encouraging and rewarding teacher excellence. Require adequate compensation to all state hourly employees. Tax dark money contributions to candidates. Institute term limits for all elected officials. Ensure adequate medical care for all state residents.
