While “Election Day” is formally established for Tuesday, Nov. 5, Fountain Hills voters will have many opportunities to educate themselves on the issues prior to that time.
In case you didn’t know, the mail-in ballots will go out in a couple of weeks, and there won’t be any traditional voting booths spread out around town on Election Day.
Citizen committees have been established to tout both causes – town bonding authority to reconstruct Saguaro Boulevard and two school-related issues (budget overrides and a separate capital bond authorization).

One of the first chances where voters can educate themselves is coming up next week on Tuesday evening – a public forum hosted by the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association.
We plan to launch two separate series next week looking at the respective issues, detailing the inside stories on the bond and override questions.
We urge citizens to attend next week’s forum and get educated on the requests. Voter apathy is always a difficult thing to overcome, but voter ignorance is an excuse that will not be relevant by the Election Day deadline of Nov. 5. It’s time to get involved and get educated!
