Thursday, May 5, is the National Day of Prayer and, all over the USA, people of faith will be gathering to pray for this great country of ours. God has truly blessed us with a land filled with His beauty, goodness and opportunity. Do we appreciate what we have or do we take it for granted?
Everyone would agree that we are in a time like no other, when fear, anger, hostility, uncertainty and danger seem to grab the headlines every day. This is the time when we need to obey 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

This is a call to join together on May 5 at Fountain Park for the Christian Ministerial Association’s annual observance of this important day. There will be free hotdogs, cookies and drinks served from 5 to 5:45 p.m., and the event will start at 6p.m. and should last about an hour.
Remember what Jesus said to His disciples, “Could you not pray with me one hour?” I hear Him saying the same to us now and I believe if you open your heart to Him you will hear the same. America needs your prayers so, please, mark your calendars now for this important event.
