Stanislav Mishin, regular contributor in the newspaper Pravda, notes that one of the first things that early Communist rulers did was to disarm the population.
“From that point, mass repression, arrests, deportations, murder and starvation, were all safe game for those in power. They had little fear of an uprising from an unarmed people,” he wrote.

Even with the demise of the Soviet Union, Stalin-era gun restrictions continue, Mishin states: “For those of us fighting for our traditional rights, the U.S. 2nd Amendment is a rare light in an ever-darkening room. Governments will use the excuse of trying to protect the people from maniacs and crime. In reality, it’s the bureaucrats protecting their power and position.”
Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union show how gun-control is a necessary precursor to tyranny. George Mason, called the father of the Bill of Rights, said, “What is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm them is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” From King George to Stalin, history shows why we need our 2nd Amendment.
Vice President Biden said, “The President is going to act. There are executive orders, executive actions that can be taken. We haven’t decided what that is yet, but we’re compiling it all.” Never mind the Constitution says the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.”
Ironically, within hours of re-election, Obama signed onto the U.N. Arms Treaty, just adopted. The treaty requires signatory nations to “take the necessary legislative and administrative measures, to adapt, as necessary, national laws and regulations to implement the obligations of this treaty.” Adding “The agreement’s language is so broad, vague and poorly defined it could be stretched in a variety of ways that would pose a threat to the Second Amendment” (WA Times).
