Last week someone mentioned to me that our private water company had been for sale a couple of years ago and the Town of Fountain Hills Council voted not to buy it...so I simply Googled the information and I couldn’t believe what I was reading!
Not only did our council decide not to purchase the water company, but a Canadian company purchased it! Now maybe this is old news to some, I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, but what were our council members thinking?
Now I’ve done a little bit more research to find out that this Canadian company is looking to raise our rates...and the EPA is looking to take over much of the control of our water usage!

Purchasing the water company would have been a great asset to this town, having a Canadian company own it just can’t do us any good!
I sat down to talk about this with Lina Bellenir, not only is she 100 percent informed on all of these facts, she’s been attending the meetings concerning the EPA’s current status regarding our water!
We need to do something about this current situation, and I’m very pleased to see that Lina Bellenir is running for Town Council. She is exactly the person we need to represent us -- Lina is committed to defending our town and having the best interest of every homeowner...she has experience and she’s a dedicated candidate!
Our water rates are going to go up, way up, and she seems to be the only person aware of this and is actively pursuing a remedy! If our water rates are not stabilized, we’re going to have families who can’t afford water! We need Lina Bellenir on our Town Council!
