An emergency call for help came in on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4 a.m. here in Fountain View Village in Fountain Hills.
It was not a medical. It was a water rescue. Water was pouring into an apartment due to failure of a water pressure regulator.
Three more calls followed shortly and the Director of Plant Operations, Johnie Belville, was called out. He in turn called out First Choice Restorations to provide the men and equipment needed to manage the challenge of four flooded apartments.

Water to the affected areas had to be cut off for about 12 hours while repairs were made. The residents were moved into four empty (and dry) apartments, and their furniture into storage areas where blowers are currently drying it out.
After this was done the task of getting all the water out and drying the rooms was begun. Workers had to remove baseboards and cut out the dry wall up to 24 inches.
Repairs and restorations are a work in process. Full recovery of the apartments, furnishings, and shocked residents is expected.
I commend all those who so rapidly responded to this water rescue emergency for their rapid response and expertise.
