Wayfinding sign plan gets green light in Fountain Hills

Town Council approves on 5-1 vote

At its Oct. 15 regular session, the Fountain Hills Town Council approved funding to implement a wayfinding sign program that has been debated and in design since at least 2020.

The council approved a professional services agreement with DunCor/Summit West Signs in the amount of $296,744 for manufacture of the signs. The total exceeds the $250,000 budget for the program, but the council approved the agreement in conjunction with a budget transfer of $46,744 available from the 2025 capital budget contingency.

According to staff, the current signs, installed more than 20 years ago, are outdated, antiquated, often misleading and in many instances original signs are missing.
