We need leadership with integrity in Fountain Hills

On March 4, our town council and new mayor, Gerry Friedel, appear to be scheduled to erase  Allen Skillicorn’s sanctions.

To those who are not aware of Allen’s violations, there were seven ethics investigations in 2024, of which three were adjudicated as ethics violations. These violations merited the sanctions. At the time, Friedel and Toth voted against the sanctions but they were the minority votes.

Instead of owning his ethics violations, Allen went on and sued Mayor Ginny Dickey and three of our town council persons who voted for the sanctions on the federal level. His lawsuit claimed it was a violation of his civil rights. The federal judge ruled against him and dismissed the case.
