Mr. Long, president of the Fountain Hills Democratic Club, claims that the item in their wreath is a mask and not a severed head, but perception is in the eye of the beholder and despite what Mr. Long says, many of us took it only as a severed head.
It was a substantially distorted version of Mr. Trump obviously intended to make him look as bad as possible. Despicable, as they made it considerably worse with slogans scrawled all over his face.
What would the reaction of Mr. Long and his colleagues be had the Republican Club (of which I am not a member) installed a distorted image of President Biden with slogans referring to the border crisis, the runaway inflation, the fiasco of the Afghanistan withdrawal, etc. of his administration?
