Well, another Great Fair is over and this one was definitely different, having had the snow on Thursday and then the heavy rain on Friday. But what beautiful days on Saturday and Sunday! Wow, what a weather week. And what wonderful views of the snow-covered peaks from the fair area. Wonderful pictures of the fountain with that beautiful background.

Personally, that is where I like the snow – where I can see it and travel to it if I want to, but where I don’t have to touch or shovel it.

Thanks to all the vendors who make the fair the great opportunity it is, and thanks to Sharon Morgan and all her team at the Chamber, including the Purple People who help keep the vendors coming back year after year and make others want to make the cut to be here.

As the Adjutant for VFW Post 7507, I want to thank everyone who came out and supported our many local merchants and the many visiting fair vendors, but I especially want to thank all those who visited either of the VFW beer gardens and bought food, drink, raffle tickets or Red Shirt Friday shirts.

The Great Fair is one of the three big fundraisers for our post, the other two being the annual Ralph Truax VFW Golf Tournament and the Fountain Festival. We greatly appreciate your continued support and hope to see you again in November at the Fountain Festival.
