Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 23 through Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Thursday, Oct. 23
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Overlook Court for a reported private property vehicle collision. According to deputies the driver attempted to pull out of a driveway and struck a fire hydrant that was located on private property. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 23 through Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Thursday, Oct. 23
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Overlook Court for a reported private property vehicle collision. According to deputies the driver attempted to pull out of a driveway and struck a fire hydrant that was located on private property. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. Deputies reported that the driver was traveling 56 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. According to MCSO, a records check during the stop revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive where a domestic violence assault incident was reported. The suspect was a juvenile and was subsequently booked into juvenile detention.
Friday, Oct. 24
*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Eagle Mountain Parkway where a single vehicle traffic collision was reported. Deputies said the driver lost control and hit a street sign. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speeding on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. According to deputies the driver was traveling 74 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. A records check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Dickens Court reported that an unknown subject damaged a residence by throwing a rock at the stucco.
*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject keyed the victim’s vehicle while in the parking lot of a business in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Arroyo Vista Drive reported that a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence by an unknown subject.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains on a call for service where they contacted a subject. A records check revealed the subject had an active felony warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
*Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Broken Arrow where it was reported that two subjects were trespassed from a private community after being found soliciting in the area without permission.
Saturday, Oct. 25
*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Crestview Drive for a reported traffic collision. According to deputies a driver made an unsafe lane change and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of La Montana Drive for a reported private property single vehicle traffic collision. Deputies reported a driver struck a retaining wall in the parking lot of a business. Deputies say they were told by the driver that they had been drinking and using illegal drugs prior to driving. Deputies initiated a DUI investigation. Charges are pending lab analysis.
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Amhurst Drive where it was reported that an intoxicated subject attempted to enter a residence where they did not belong thinking that it was their residence. Deputies say the subject refused to leave the property and charges for trespassing were submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.
Sunday, Oct. 26
*A resident of the 16000 block of Bainbridge Ave. reported that an unknown subject drove a vehicle through the front yard of a residence causing damage. The victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.
Monday, Oct. 27
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported private property traffic collision. According to MCSO, a driver pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while in a drive through line causing their vehicle to rear-end another vehicle then pushing that vehicle into a third vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Grandview Drive reported that an unknown subject used a rock to break a window and enter a vehicle that was parked outside of a residence. The subject then took a wallet and cash that was left in the vehicle. The subject then used the victim’s debit card at a local store.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. Deputies report the driver was traveling 77 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to El Lago Boulevard and Keith McMahan Drive. Deputies received a report that while walking on a path a dog got loose from its owner and bit the complainant. The dog owner exchanged information with the complainant and paid for medical attention. The incident information was forwarded to Maricopa County Animal Control.
*Deputies made a traffic stop in the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. on a vehicle with a suspended registration. The driver fled the traffic stop on foot and was apprehended by deputies a short time later. A records check revealed the subject had two outstanding warrants out of the Fountain Hills Municipal Court. The subject was booked into jail on the warrants.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. It was reported by the complainant that they lost the keys to their vehicle at a business and did not have a second set of keys. They left their vehicle at the business until they could obtain another set of keys. When the complainant returned to retrieve their vehicle, it was gone from the parking lot. No one was given permission to take the vehicle.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. According to deputies the driver was traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Cactus Drive reported that an unknown subject sent the complainant two fraudulent checks.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Sunflower Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open a credit account.
