Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reports deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 13, through Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Thursday, Feb. 13

*Deputies responded to Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards for a reported traffic incident. Deputies reported that a driver made an unsafe turn causing another driver to take evasive action causing that vehicle to strike a curb. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

Weekly law enforcement report for Fountain Hills

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reports deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 13, through Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Thursday, Feb. 13

*Deputies responded to Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards for a reported traffic incident. Deputies reported that a driver made an unsafe turn causing another driver to take evasive action causing that vehicle to strike a curb. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

Friday, Feb. 14

*A resident of the 13000 block of Sunflower Drive reported that an unknown subject stole multiple packages from the front porch of a residence.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. According to deputies, the driver was traveling 80 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Saturday, Feb. 15

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject had shoplifted merchandise from a business. Deputies report that a loss prevention officer for the business detained the suspect who was subsequently arrested by deputies.

Sunday, Feb. 16

*A business in the 13000 block of Sunridge Drive reported that an unknown subject spray-painted offensive graffiti on property belonging to the business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject shoplifted items from a business.

Monday, Feb. 17

*A resident of the 14000 block of Deerskin Drive reported that an unknown subject, as part of a fraudulent scheme solicited compromising photos of the victim over social media then threatened to publish the photos unless the victim paid money.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avene of the Fountains where it was reported that an unknown subject stole an electric bicycle from in front of a restaurant. The bike was later recovered by deputies and returned to the owner.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject shoplifted items from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a domestic violence assault incident was reported. MCSO reports the suspect fled the scene prior to deputies arrival and that deputies located the suspect vehicle on the roadway traveling in Fountain Hills. The subject was stopped and subsequently arrested and booked into jail.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

*A resident of the 14000 block of Desert Flower Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open multiple accounts with a wireless carrier out of state.

*A resident of the 9000 block of Firebrick Drive reported that a subject was harassing the victim via text message. The victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Stoneridge Court reported a domestic violence assault.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. reported that a subject was harassing the victim via text message and phone calls.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that a subject assaulted the victim by pushing the victim. The victim was not willing to aid in prosecution.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that a subject assaulted a victim by spraying them with pepper spray while in the parking lot of a business.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

*A resident of the 11000 block of Walapai Circle reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open an account and purchase a cell phone with a wireless carrier.

*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Technology Drive where a private property traffic collision was reported. Deputies say the collision occurred in the parking lot of a business when a vehicle struck a parked car. Upon contacting the driver deputies initiated a DUI investigation. The driver admitted to ingesting dangerous drugs prior to driving. This case is pending lab results. The driver was transported to the hospital for medical care. The driver’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
