Kites will be sold for a nominal cost of $5 to $7, or participants can bring their own.
Demonstration of kite fights, as seen in the film, “Kite Runner,” are scheduled for noon, 2 and 4 p.m.
Live music, ethnic foods, henna tattoos, fashions, arts and crafts activities for children are included.
It is Arizona’s largest kite flying festival. No admission is charged.
