As extremely concerned town residents we, along with numerous other homeowners, are requesting that Town Council members vote “no” on the proposal to construct another senior nursing home, this time at the corner of Saguaro and Trevino Dr.
As a group we have met several times with the developer’s representatives who are very much aware that we are opposed to this needless monstrosity of a building.
Several local realtors have advised our group that this vast complex would radically decrease the value of our proud residences. Worse yet, the proposed structure would be very visible to passers-by on Shea Blvd., as the building would be very close to the Saguaro entrance to our beautiful town and announce loud and clear, “Fountain Hills exists as a center for retired senior citizens!” For years we have combatted this wrongful image for Fountain Hills.

We hope that the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Town Council members are not swayed by the large construction fee that the developer would be required to pay our town.
We have been opposed to this needless senior care center, and we are opposed now more than ever.
If the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council members really care about Fountain Hills, they will vote “no” on this proposal.
