I have never written a “letter to the editor” before, but it is time. Almost every July 4th I watch the Capitol Fourth on TV & I always wind up crying...But this year, I sobbed. I am heartbroken for our country—the country we all love so dearly. We need each other. We need to share our love and our strength—all of us together & united. There is no time to waste in hatred. Life is far too fragile & precious.
