Why not?

In my lifetime, we have had presidents who were formerly politicians (Kennedy), military generals (Eisenhower), movie actor (Reagan) and now a former neighborhood activist (Who?). All, in my opinion, did a fairly decent job, except the overly ambitious activist who has done more damage to our formerly wonderful country than all the former presidents have or could have done.

Why not try a successful businessman? Mr. Trump has proved he can overcome setbacks. His initial claims when he declared for the campaign contained all things that the majority knows a need exists to overcome. His opponent has revealed her lifetime goal of being on the public dole while lying to maintain her wealth desires.

Why not consider the federal government contracting with vetted contractors to build up the nation’s slums and assist the poor. The vetted contractors would be required to hire willing, vetted, poor, minority workers and the cost of the contract would be deducted from the Foreign Aid budget, which we have been told is being sent to almost all of the worlds countries, whether needed or not.

What? Jobs being provided, monies stay in our country’s economy, less unhappiness with better living conditions for the poor, increased pride in peoples who are now producing for the country’s future. And perhaps increased pressure on other countries to take care of their own. We know that a lot of our aid goes into dictators’ pockets.

Wow! Another million-dollar-plus purchased by the Clintons, who were broke coming out of the White House.
