Wild horses

I enjoy seeing the many wild horses that make their home along the Salt River and around Saguaro Lake.

Whether fishing, hiking or kayaking, I regularly see these beautiful, independent and hardy mustangs. Many of you have seen them and have photographed them.

I’m reading “Wild Horse Country” by David Philipps. He’s a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer who’s done extensive research to bring the reader the history, myths and discussion of the future of these mustangs that we enjoy seeing. If the book isn’t in our library, it should be.
