William M. “Cowboy Bill” Coolum, 70, of Fountain Hills and formerly of Hope, R.I. passed away at home on Dec. 28, 2013 from a long illness with family at his side.

Bill was a devoted husband of 46 years and a loving father. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Timothy Coolum of Taunton, Mass.; his loving daughter, Andrea, son-in-law Troy and granddaughter Amy Kinsey of Richardton, N.D.

Bill met his wife Bonnie on a blind date in Iceland where he was stationed in the Navy. Married 46 years, they enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, especially Clint Eastwood.

He loved to attend the NFR and see the different events. His passion was horses, beaches, family, and friends.

A memorial service took place on Dec. 31 at Messinger Mortuaries followed by graveside service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
