Come ya’ll!

Women in God’s Service (WinGS), the women’s ministry at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, is planning a spring gala Saturday, March 8.

This year’s theme is “Steppin’ Out with God.”

The gathering will be an afternoon of welcome for all cowgirls and cowboys (Fountain Hills-style) in Fountain Hills and neighboring communities. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, corner of Fountain Hills and El Lago boulevards.

Guests will join together for fun, faith, and fellowship. Attendees are asked to wear western attire to get into the spirit.

Country western entertainer Peter “Doc” Rolland will provide foot-stompin’ music and a show to keep up the Western spirit.

AZ Barbeque will provide western grub, pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches with accompaniments.

Gift baskets and individual items will be included in the raffle and silent auctions.

Tickets are $15 donation. Proceeds from event will benefit Teen Challenge of Arizona.

Teen Challenge provides youth, adults and families with a comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems.

WinGS women are involved assisting families within the community and reaching out with helping hands to various services both within and outside of Fountain Hills.

Guests are invited to buy tickets and register at the Sunday church services or by contacting the church at 837-9532.
