The first significant winter storm of the season moved quickly through Arizona this weekend bringing rain to the Valley and snow to the high country.
Fountain Hills may have received the most rainfall in the Valley recording up to .63-inch. The Cloudburst Wash monitor station for the Maricopa County Flood Control District collected that amount. That monitoring site is in the higher levels of the McDowell Mountains.
Hesperus Wash, also in the far west area of town collected .51-inch.

The first significant winter storm of the season moved quickly through Arizona this weekend bringing rain to the Valley and snow to the high country.
Fountain Hills may have received the most rainfall in the Valley recording up to .63-inch. The Cloudburst Wash monitor station for the Maricopa County Flood Control District collected that amount. That monitoring site is in the higher levels of the McDowell Mountains.

The remaining county monitoring sites in Fountain Hills received a quarter to one third inch of rain.
The storm also brought cooler temperatures for the area with highs in Fountain Hills on Sunday of 57.
