The Falcons had quite a few athletes named to all section and all state teams during the winter season, as well as a pair of “coach of the year” honors for Alison Mabery and Amanda Baca.

With both the girls soccer and girls basketball teams winning their respective state championships, it’s no surprise that their coaches were also pegged for high achievement during the winter season.

Alison Mabery was selected as the AZ Central Small School Coach of the Year for girls soccer with Amanda Baca receiving the same honor for girls basketball.

Quite a few local athletes also received honors this past season, beginning with the girls soccer team.

Trista Smith, Emmie Lawrence, Alex Bergner and Courtney Wise were named to the all-section second team, with Leah Carillo being named the player of the year and coach Mabery earning the section coach of the year title, too.
