Winter storm brings wind, rain

A band of fog stretches across the base of the McDowell Mountains Wednesday morning.

The winter storm that whipped through the Valley late Tuesday left a little rain behind for Fountain Hills.

Generally rainfall totals in town were about .20-inch although the Maricopa County Flood Control District monitoring equipment at Sunridge Canyon Dam received .24-inch.

Fountain Park received .20-inch of rain with wind gusts to 31 miles per hour.

The winter storm that whipped through the Valley late Tuesday left a little rain behind for Fountain Hills.

Generally rainfall totals in town were about .20-inch although the Maricopa County Flood Control District monitoring equipment at Sunridge Canyon Dam received .24-inch.

Fountain Park received .20-inch of rain with wind gusts to 31 miles per hour.

The forecast is for partly cloudy conditions with temperatures warming slowly through the end of the week.
