Every day I do my daily hike down Trevino to Saguaro and every day think: Wouldn’t it be nice if the businesses selling food right there along Saguaro and Shea cleaned up the trash?
Now, it appears that they have tried, but there still is a long way to go —there is still trash along Trevino and on the street.

Yes, it is sad that people purchasing food can’t be more responsible and dump their trash. But, reality is that they don’t, so now I feel it becomes the responsibility of those businesses to do their part.
Not only are these businesses selling food to the public and making money, but they are a part of our community. So, you would think that they would notice how bad the situation had become and on their own organize a weekly “clean up” crew.
It appears that someone has attempted a cleanup but, again, I stress—a long way to go.
If each business took responsibility for a week and got their employees out along Trevino, it wouldn’t take very long to clean up the trash and become a good member of not only the Fountain Hills business community but also of our wonderful Town of Fountain Hills.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they continue to “step up to the plate!”
