Yates praise

It’s a shame the Dickey camp has chosen to take the low road. Instead of promoting Fountain Hills, they are slinging mud and attacking Cecil Yates without foundation whatsoever.

First they tried to attack his credibility and ethics, only to have the Commissioner of Real Estate appoint him to the Arizona Department of Real Estate’s Test Committee, where he was chosen specifically for his knowledge and ethics in real estate.

They accuse him of working in secret, only to be outed themselves by Lina Bellenir for crossing the line when discussing his council position during a Save Our Town meeting. The chairperson admitted the wrongdoing and has since apologized, but it didn’t stop them from attacking Ms. Bellenir on social media.

They attack Cecil’s financial and business judgment when, just last week, Ranking Arizona named him and the division he manages number one in the state for property management. The press release specifically sites Cecil’s “high ethical standards, impeccable business integrity and out-of-the-box ideas.” The important point here is that the entire business community voted for Cecil and his division. It is completely impartial. I wish we could say the same about the Dickey committee.

Dickey protests the sheriff’s department, Cecil supports them. Dickey calls for boycotts while Yates promotes business, entrepreneurship and jobs. Dickey is a far left progressive, while Yates is a compassionate conservative.

The Dickey camp is trying to position her as a fiscal conservative, even though she approved a study for Fire Station #2, which came back less than favorable, then approved spending over $180,000 on plans chasing Obama’s “shovel ready projects” funds, neither of which materialized.

If you will simply look at both of the candidates’ history, it is easy to see that Cecil Yates is the best choice for mayor of Fountain Hills.
