Yeargain: Let’s move forward in a positive, productive way

Posted

Alleged bar fights, weird lies and vulgar media posts are what we are hearing about some local candidates being promoted for town council by the ROT group. Crazy!

The last thing we need is that kind of drama and disruptive behavior on our council. That is not the reputation we want for our community.  The good news is that we do have candidates who are reasonable, respectable and reliable.

Peggy McMahon is one of those excellent candidates. She has already proven that she is a commendable member of the Town Council. We know that she is motivated to tackle the difficult issues and is dedicated to finding the best possible solutions. She has a passion for learning and bringing new information for consideration. Her ability to listen to others and give useful feedback is also obvious at the council meetings. She truly listens to residents and does her best to be helpful. Peggy will deliver the kind of effective leadership we want, and we can count on Peggy to represent our town in a respectable and honorable manner.

Let’s not elect chaotic people to our council. Let’s keep Ginny Dickey and Peggy McMahon, and bring Clayton Corey on council as well. Instead of petty infighting, these three candidates will focus on moving forward in a positive and productive way.
