Yeargain: Peggy McMahon is a valuable council asset
If you watch our town council meetings, you know that at every meeting each council member is given the opportunity to summarize his or her recent activities related to being on the council.
It is very telling. Some members regularly have little to share, others have one or two town events that they enjoyed, and a few describe several activities and explain what they learned from being there.
Councilwoman Peggy McMahon is one of those who have a lot to share. Hearing about her many interesting activities, it is obvious that she is very motivated to learn all she can in order to increase her knowledge and effectiveness. Clearly Peggy is serious about her role in town government. It is also clear that she enjoys doing the work.

Of course, that is no surprise to people who know her, because she has lived in Fountain Hills for 23 years and has been actively involved in community service long before she ever joined the town council. That kind of dedication and experience makes her a real asset for our town.
When most new members come on board, they experience a steep learning curve. Newly elected candidates must rely on the expertise of the others as they are learning the fundamental procedures. Peggy will be an excellent resource and role model for those new members who really care about Fountain Hills and want give their best effort.
It is one of the reasons I will vote to keep Peggy McMahon on Town Council.
