Yvonne (Bonnie) Carillo Williams was born in Duquesne, PA in 1936 and died peacefully with family by her side on August 18, 2026. As a child, Bonnie suffered a traumatic injury that required hospitalization and she decided to become a nurse to aid others. Bonnie attended Catholic University where she received her R.N., graduating from the School of Nursing in 1957. She met and wed Dr. Frank Carillo while an OR nurse at Providence Hospital in Washington DC. They later made their home in Bowie, MD in1961 where they raised their family until 1984. She is survived by her children: Donald (Martha), Frank, Jr, Rebecca, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased in life by her parents Alphonse and Pauline Rimkus, her former husbands Dr. Francis X. Carillo, Sr and Douglas Williams, her daughter Rachel Carillo, and son-in-law James Murphy.
She was a member of AA for over 50 years and helped numerous people overcome their addictions. She retired from nursing in 2009 while living in Annapolis and moved to Arizona in 2017 to be near family.
Yvonne (Bonnie) will be remembered for her eclectic style, love of life, warm hugs and kisses, naturalist community and her charming, flirtatious behavior. She held numerous jobs throughout her life, but her favorite job was spending time with her grandchildren. Bonnie enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid skier who adventured all over the Rocky Mountains as well as Europe. Boating on the water at Deep Creek Lake and enjoying seafood in Annapolis, MD were her favorite pastimes. She loved giving everyone God's blessing each evening.
The family is grateful for the caring staff at FVV, Hospice of the Valley and especially Caregiver Kim.
Memorial service will be held at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills on Monday September 14 at 3 pm.
