Dale “Ken” Wells, 85, of Fountain Hills passed away on Nov. 15, 2017, at Fountain View Village Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hills after a brave struggle with Parkinson’s disease, complicated near the end by a stroke.
Ken ended his earthly journey surrounded by many who loved him, including the loving staff at Fountain View Village Skilled Nursing. Ken leaves behind his loving wife of almost 50 years, Arlene; daughters, Chris Wells and Kathi Williams who reside in California; sons, Randy (Barb) in Ohio, Gary (Phoenix), and Rob (Melissa) Williams, Mesa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will also be missed by dear friends, Paul and Kim Plascjak of Bethesda, Md. who were more like children than friends.
Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and mentor and will leave a big hole in the lives of them all.
Funeral services will be held at Messenger Mortuary in Fountain Hills on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite veterans’ organization.
