Kathy passed away in Fountain Hills on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Kathy was born on March 26, 1943 in Nottingham, England. While working and attending college part-time, she met the love of her life, Jim Dable, with whom she was to share a lifetime of cherished memories. They soon married, were blessed with two children and in 1984 emigrated to the United States. While Kathy loved her adopted country, she remained fiercely proud of her English heritage and she never lost her English accent.
Known for her grace, compassion and quick wit, Kathy was a pillar of strength for those around her. Her gentle nature and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her love for her English roots was evident in her traditions, stories, and delicious homemade recipes that brought comfort and joy to gatherings with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Jim; son Tim (Emily Marsh); daughter Jane (Kevin) Hunt; grandchildren Sophie, Graham and Amelia Dable and Lydia and Sarah Hunt; and sister Patricia (Richard) Forsythe. A funeral service will be held on April 28, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Anglican Church of the Atonement.
