Calvary Chapel Fountain Hills is planning to host its annual National Day of Prayer events throughout the day Thursday, May 2.

Calvary Chapel Fountain Hills is planning to host its annual National Day of Prayer events which fall this year on Thursday, May 2.
A prayer at the Town Hall flagpole will commence Thursday, May 2, at 12 p.m. where the community is invited to pray for the local government and schools.
Prayer will begin promptly at noon at the flagpole outside near the Town Hall parking lot.
That same evening in the Calvary Chapel Sanctuary, the church will hold a National Day of Prayer Service from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The community is invited to gather to celebrate the National Day of Prayer as Pastor Rick Ponzo will lead attendees in each category of prayer (church, family, education, business/workplace, military, government and media/entertainment), the release said.
Attendees will also break into small groups and pray for each category.
The theme for 2024 is “Light up the Word-Light up the World.”
The theme scripture is 2 Samuel 22:29-3.
