Bob’s Free Bikes donated 100 bicycles Oct. 26 to the non-profit organization, Foster Hope Foundation.
The motto for Bob’s Free Bikes is “Changing kids’ lives one bike at a time.”
Founder Bob Mandel said volunteers repair used bikes before they are distributed to youths. The group also accepts cash to buy parts.
Recipients ranging in age from five to 18 are nominated as having a desire but not the ability to obtain a bike across the Greater Phoenix Valley.
If interested in nominating a recipient, donating a bike, giving a tax deductible donation or volunteering time to repair, pick up or deliver bikes, call 480-226-1357. The website is bobsfreebikes.org.
