Two daughters’ expertise in water safety contributed to the creation of a new business, LizardPools LLC.

Homer Clark and his two daughters, Angela and Chelsea, started the business in 2012. After more than 30 years in industrial construction, Homer’s lifelong dream was to own his own business.

A friend advised him to start a pool business, what with his daughters’ expertise in water safety.

The idea sounded perfect because it was a venture that would involve his daughters.

From an early age, Angela was a member of a swim team and volunteered at her community swimming pool. As a young adult, she became an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and water safety instructor.

She participates in the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona and the Independent Pool & Spa Service Association.

Frequently on smaller projects, she will be found in a customer’s backyard providing service.

Like her sister, Chelsea’s background also consists of water safety. She joined Angela in participating on a swim team, lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. Chelsea is an avid wakeboarder and holds three team collegiate national titles, one individual collegiate national title and one world amateur title. She has spent three years on the pro circuit for wakeboarding.

She debuted her rookie year as the highest ranked newcomer for the year and in 2018, finished the year circuit as 12th in the world.

LizardPools advertises that it offers weekly service at a monthly rate. The weekly services includes emptying the skim, pump and in-line baskets, testing water chemicals and making adjustments, backwash filter, inspect visible plumbing and equipment and brush walls and steps.

Quarterly, semi-annually or annual maintenance services can be arranged. The business also will tackle any project work, such as motor or pump rebuild or replacement and upgrading lights.

A free estimate appointment can be scheduled by calling 480-489-0713.
