Fountain Hills Chamber helps out businesses during slow summer

When summer hits Fountain Hills and the snowbirds head back home, business inevitably slows down for the many stores and restaurants in town.

However, that doesn’t mean that local businesses should take it easy this summer. The Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce has a series of resources and valuable advice for local businesses to take advantage of through the summer season, even with less people in town.

“We encourage businesses to not pause in the summer because there are enough people who are still here. If you tend to pause, you might lose some of those people and they’ll stop thinking of you as a business,” Chamber president and CEO Betsy LaVoie said. “So you always want to, as a business, stay relevant during the slower months. The Chamber partners with the town of Fountain Hills for a shop local paid advertising promotion throughout the summer, and that is something wed do to really keep our local businesses top of mind for everyone who’s receiving the paper, and for everyone who’s really thinking about shopping, we want them to prefer local.”
