Fountain Hills Sister Cities holds fundraiser

In support of farmers and businesses in Ataco, El Salvador

The community is invited to join in a fundraising event in support of the Fountain Hills Sister Cities’ humanitarian relief campaign, “Meals for Elders,” benefiting Concepcion de Ataco, El Salvador.

Hosted by the Hispanic Rotary Club of Phoenix, the event is set for Wednesday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Salvadoreño Restaurant #3-Pupusas in Phoenix.

Attendees will indulge in authentic Salvadoran cuisine including pupusas, sweet empanadas de plátano and aguas frescas.

This is a culinary adventure and an opportunity to learn about the culture of Ataco.

Tickets are $40 to help cover event costs, and all funds raised will be matched by other donors and the Fountain Hills Sister Cities organization, maximizing the support for the residents of Ataco.

The funds will be used to purchase locally sourced food items, ensuring sustainability and support for local farmers and businesses in Ataco.

Salvadoreño Restaurant #3-Pupusas is located at 8911 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix.
