Fuss

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about. Taxes are not the enemy! It is our responsibility because we live the luxurious lives in a town we love. Do we want our roads to continue to disintegrate? Should we let our public buildings peel, leak and fade? Are we OK with cutting town staff, programs, fire and police protection?

When I moved here by choice in 2000, we were surprised that there was no primary tax. Yes, we have a secondary tax, of which the town receives pennies overall, and the sales tax of 2000 isn’t available anymore due to less construction and growth. So we have the responsibility to pay for the maintenance needed.

My desire is to stay here if my town can continue to be the lovely place I chose. The Fountain Hills of the past will not be sustained without our loving care and attention.

My “yes” vote has been sent in. It’s worth it to me!
