Grecian Beauty Salon closes after 45 years in Fountain Hills

Sisters retire after decades serving the community

The Grecian Beauty Salon has officially closed its doors after 45 years in business and its owners, sisters Terri Schmidt and Robin Lueck send a heartfelt “thank you” to the community for supporting their business.

Located in the heart of Fountain Hills, the Grecian Beauty Salon was owned and operated by the two sisters, who moved to Arizona from Wyoming. Lueck said she purchased the salon in 1980 from a Grecian woman, Vasaliki “Kiki” Papadopoulos, who had owned it for several years.

Lueck kept the original name and ran the business alone for a decade before her sister joined her. Lueck earned her hairdresser’s license in Scottsdale, while Schmidt completed her training in Wyoming. Over the years, the salon moved several times before settling in its current location on Verde River Drive, where it has operated for the past 25 years.
